• Bloodborne Pathogens for Healthcare – Bloodborne Pathogens for Healthcare training costs one training credit per trainee. This training contains information on bloodborne pathogens and diseases, methods used to control occupational exposure, hepatitis B vaccine, and medical evaluation and post-exposure follow-up procedures. Time: 1 hour, 21 minutes. Must be taken by all personnel who could come in contact with Potentially Infectious Material. Must be taken annually.
• Bloodborne Pathogens for Schools – Bloodborne Pathogens for Schools training costs one training credit per trainee. This training contains information on bloodborne pathogens and diseases for the school setting, methods used to minimize occupational exposure, hepatitis overview, and medical evaluation and post-exposure follow-up procedures. Time: 45 minutes. Must be taken by all school staff who could come in contact with Potentially Infectious Material. Must be taken annually.
• HIPAA, HITECH, & Omnibus – HIPAA, HITECH, & Omnibus training costs one training credit per trainee. This training helps employees understand the new requirements on patient privacy and security. Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes. Must be taken by all healthcare personnel. We recommend this course be taken annually.
• GHS Hazcom – GHS Hazcom training costs one training credit per trainee. This training covers changes contained in the revised OSHA standard requiring the use of new GHS labeling and a standardized format for Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), formerly known as, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). Time: 45 minutes. Must be taken by everyone. We recommend this course be taken annually.
• DoT: Regulated Medical Waste – Introduction to the DoT regulations, accurately classify and identify medical wastes, packaging, marking and labeling RMW, completing the shipping papers and RMW manifests, training requirements, and safety overview for handling RMW. Time: 41 minutes. Required for the persons who package medical waste for transport. Required to be taken at least every three years.
• Transporters DoT Training – DoT Training – Transporter Version training costs one training credit per trainee. Accurately classify and name medical wastes, as well as package, mark, label, and complete shipping paper documentation for these shipments, plus the guidelines on transporting medical waste. Time: 3 hours, 30 minutes. Required for medical waste transporter staff. Required to be taken at least once.
Electrical Safety
• Electrical Safety – Electrical safety training costs one training credit per trainee. This training covers electrical safety requirements necessary for safeguarding employees in the healthcare environment. Time: 30 minutes. Recommended for hospital, surgery center, and nursing home staff. We recommend this course be taken annually.
• Fire Safety – Fire safety training costs one training credit per trainee. Fire safety training looks at how fires start, reviews steps that can be taken to help prevent fires and discusses what employees should do in case of a fire emergency. Time: 30 minutes. Recommended for hospital, surgery center, and nursing home staff. We recommend this course be taken annually.
• Hand Hygiene for Healthcare – Hand Hygiene training costs one training credit per trainee. Proper hand hygiene lowers the spread of infection from patient to patient. This training helps employees understand the importance of proper hand hygiene, and provides guidance on which hand hygiene protocol is best for their work environment. Time: 20 minutes. Should be taken by all healthcare personnel. We recommend this course be taken annually.
• Ergonomics – Ergonomics, fitting a job to a person, helps lessen muscle fatigue, increases productivity and reduces the number and severity of work-related MSDs. This training helps ensures that workers are aware of ergonomics and its benefits, become informed about ergonomics related concerns in the workplace, and understand the importance of reporting early symptoms of MSDs. Time: 25 minutes. Should be taken by all healthcare personnel. We recommend this course be taken annually.
• Sharps Safety – Sharps Safety training covers the nature of sharps injuries, the risks of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, how and where injuries occur, describes the types of engineered sharps injury prevention devices, and discusses safe work practices to prevent sharps injuries. Time: 19 minutes.
• Personal Protective Equipment – Information on Personal Protective Equipment, guidance for the selection and use of PPE, donning PPE, save work practices with PPE, and when to use different PPE . Time: 25 minutes. Should be taken by all healthcare personnel who have patient contact. Should be taken annually.
• Medicare Fraud and Abuse – This training helps you understand the importance of preventing Medicare Fraud and Abuse. This is a required training if your facility receives payments from Medicare or Medicaid. Time: 60 minutes. Required by all employees within 90 days of hire, and annually thereafter.
